Summary
Analogical and Complementary Ensembles
Nature never produces two identical things. All unanimated objects and all living creatures are always unique, even when they were cloned. In a world so diverse, we must organize our perception, otherwise we would remain paralyzed by the sheer abundance of impressions and sensory information. Fortunately, Nature allows for the creation of Analogical and Complementary Ensembles. Newborn babies first look at everything, without seeing. After a while, they start distinguishing between straight and curved lines, depths and colours. If it stops looking at everything at the same time, it can start seeing. It sees ensembles.

Jedes Jahr am 27. März, initiiert das erste Mal 1961 vom International Theatre Institute (www.iti-worldwide.org); dort findet sich auch eine Liste aller bisherigen Botschafter; laut UNESCO, die diesen Tag unterstützt, wird jedes Jahr eine Persönlichkeit des Theaters eingeladen, Gedanken zu den Themen Theater und Frieden zu formulieren.

How it all started
Initiated by DialectIcon in cooperation with the youth movement KelKel there was a first Theatre of the Oppressed workshop in Kyrgysztan in 2005, with the aim of method-training to a group of highly motivated and engaged young persons who were interested in strengthening the democratic developments in civil society. For this training Matthias Thonhauser (Austrian Theatremaker and pedagogue) was invited to Kyrgyzstan for the first time.

Seit 2005 finden in Kirgistan Workshops statt, die Methoden des Theaters der Unterdrückten weitervermitteln. Meine Aufgaben umfassen Konzeptentwicklung und Projektkoordination, neben der inhaltlichen Arbeit als Theaterpädagoge zusammen mit Birgit Fritz.
Ausgangspunkt war die Einladung der im Zuge der Umbrüche im März 2005 gegründeten Jugendbewegung KelKel, die diese Methoden nutzen wollten um junge Erwachsene zu motivieren sich am Prozess der für Juli 2005 vorgesehenen Präsidentenwahlen zu beteiligen.
